Information shared between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: 

First: Bilateral relations:

• The relationship between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is characterized by excellence, strength and durability. It is linked to several commonalities driven by the leadership of the two brotherly countries, and supported by the social and geographical extension that unites them, and the historical dimension that is deepened by the permanent cohesion and the common destiny of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
• The leadership of the two countries has been keen to continuously strengthen their bilateral relations, which provide them with more stability. They have worked on coordination, cooperation and continuous consultation on the latest regional and international issues and topics, so consensus has been achieved for the decisions taken by the two brotherly countries on issues and topics of common interest. Therefore, this relationship is an example of the strong ties inherent between the two countries and their common history, which was strengthened by their partnership through the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
• Political relations are witnessing remarkable development (and congruence of views on many issues). This reflects the mutual coordination between the two sides in regional and international forums on issues of mutual concern in a way that serves their interests. This is reinforced by high-level official visits, which prompted the leadership of the two countries to intensify coordination, consultation and work among themselves through the Joint Coordination Council for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

   

  Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council:      

• Based on the established historical relations, ties of kinship and common destiny that unite the leadership and the people of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and in light of the common destiny and unity of purpose and interests, and guided by the Supreme directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Joint Coordination Council between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was established in the city of Jeddah on 05/07/2008. It has had the aim of strengthening and developing the distinguished brotherly relations between the two countries in order to achieve their common interests. The first meeting of the Council was held in Riyadh in December 2008 and was headed by Their Highnesses Crown Princes.
• On August 25, 2021, in the city of NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the amended protocol to the minutes of the establishment of the Qatari - Saudi Coordination Council was signed. The Council shall be chaired by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar and His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• In an atmosphere of affection, brotherhood and mutual trust, the 7th meeting of Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council was held under the joint chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A number of agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed, including joint cooperation in the field of central banks in the two countries and in the field of youth and sports.

- A memorandum of understanding in the industrial field between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 22/2/2010 in Doha.

- Diplomatic and consular cooperation agreement between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its executive annex signed on 22/2/2010 in Doha.

• Executive program of the memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed on 22/2/2010 in Doha.
• A memorandum of understanding agreement for cooperation in the health field between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 22/2/2010 in Doha.         
• Agreement in the field of combating illicit trafficking and smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursor chemicals between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 1/03/2011 in Riyadh.
• Memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of meteorology between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 1/03/2011 in Riyadh.
• Memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the environmental field between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 1/03/2011 in Riyadh.
• Agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for cooperation in the field of civil defense signed on 1/03/2011 in Riyadh.
• Executive program of the memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the industrial field between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Energy and Industry in the State of Qatar signed on 4/03/2013 in Doha.
• A draft agreement in the field of combating crime between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 4/03/2013 in Doha.
• Agreement in the field of air transport services between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed on 2/05/2017 in Jeddah.
• The third executive program in the educational field between the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar signed on 2/05/2017in Jeddah.
• A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Ministry of Culture in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed on 12/06/2023 in Doha.
